Gala Berger (Villa Gesell, Argentina, 1983) is a visual artist, curator and activist, currently based between Lima and Toronto. Berger’s work is strongly based on community creation. In this sense, as development of her projects she has built several independent spaces in different cities in Latin America where she has lived in recent years. She is the co-founder of Casa MA [2018-2022] a community committed to the dissemination of creative practices generated by diverse identities in the territory of Costa Rica, Central America and its diaspora. Berger has also worked extensively in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she is co-founder of the experimental museum La Ene (Nuevo Museo Energía Arte Contemporáneo 2010-2020) and co-founder of the Paraguay Printed Art Fair. Also, between 2012 and 2014 she directed two exhibition spaces: Immigrant and Urgent.
